Judy Collins has been entertaining audiences world wide for more than 40 years. Collins made her first professional appearance at the age of 13, performing Mozart's "Concerto for Two Pianos." She was more inspired however, by artists like Woody Guthrie and Peete Seeger and she soon moved away from classical piano to pursue the guitar. She released her first album in 1961, A Maid of Constant Sorrow.
Collins is noted for her rendition of Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now" on her classic 1967 album Wildflowers. It has since been entertainer into the Grammy's Hall of Fame. Winning Song of The Year at the 1975 Grammy's.
Collins recently released a new book "Sanity and Grace, A Journey of Suicide, Survival and Strength," a deeply moving memoir following the death of her only son and the healing process following the tragedy. In a recent appearance on ABC's Good Morning America, she performed "Wings of Angles," the heartbreaking ballad she wrote about the loss of her son. Judy Collins continues to create music of hope and healing that lights up the world and speaks to the heart.
