Marc Broussard release Momentary Setback in 2002 which spawned the hit "The Wanderer," a song about self discovery.  A re-worked version of the song appears on Carencro.  The albums title pays tribute to the musician’s hometown of Carencro, Louisiana, where he still resides.

In 2007, Broussard released the album S.O.S: Save Our Soul, which was comprised entirely of cover songs.  It was his first album to break the top 100 of the Billboard 200 in the US. He recorded Must Be The Water on the Rock Boat VII in January of 2008.  The Rock Boat is an annual five-day cruise and music festival combined. His latest release Keep Coming Back marks his debut with Atlantic Records.  He is a master at channeling the roots of classic R & B and soul into contemporary pop music culture.  The album features some noteworthy collaboration with guests including LeAnn Rimes in "When It's Good" and Sara Bareilles on the powerful ballad "Why Should She Wait."
